Betting Options

Parlay bets are combination bets. In a parlay, a bettor can choose multiple teams or selections. The key element with a parlay is that all of your selections must win for you to win the parlay. However, the odds increase greatly as you have more selections. In other words, a 5-way parlay has much higher payout odds than a 2-way parlay.

Teasers and pleasers are bets where the spread is altered. A teaser is where the bettor receives points and the pleaser is where they give away points. Other common betting options are over/under, reverse and If bets. The over/under refers to the total combined score. This type of wager comes with a moneyline. “If” bets begin by betting on a certain team. If you win your wager, the same wager will be put on a different team in a different event. A reverse is an If bet that doesn’t necessarily have to be a win. It could be a win, tie or a cancel. In other words, you have team A and team B selected for two different games. You can’t lose both because if one wins, ties or cancels, you are then put down for the wager on the other.
